Markets Operations is responsible for driving every part of the trade lifecycle post execution. Its global teams manage settlement activity, risk and control, while ensuring the delivery of regulatory compliance and seamless operational client service across 60 countries.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Associate Director, Fixed Income Securities Operations .

Principal responsibilities

  • Act as the oversight and escalation point for any Client Processing issues
  • Deputy to Head of Fixed Income Operations in support major Operations initiatives under the set global and regional objectives including planning, execution, monitoring and reporting.
  • In conjunction with line manager, set the strategy globally for the function and delivering on it.
  • Act as senior support for queries, issues, discussions with other Operational teams
  • Partner with local and global line and business Managers across locations to set expectations of service, operating model, consistency, support of new business and client demands
  • Work collaboratively and interactively with Change Management and IT in projects portfolio including agreement of scope, planning and coordination
  • Drive, implement and maintain Global Standards
  • ​Liase with various business units such as Rates, Credit, Debt Capital Markets and Balance Sheet Management desks to ensure trades are booked accurately and settled in a timely manner


Qualifications
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Excellent understanding of end to end transactional life cycle of fixed income products and vanilla structured notes products and the associated key control
  • Strong technical knowledge and market knowledge of local Central Securities Depositories and Euroclear International Central Securities Depositories
  • Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills, confidence in working directly with senior management
  • Experience with Client Services and processing
  • Proven track record in a similar role would be advantageous
  • Strong customer relationship skills with proven track record of managing priority clients
  • Excellent ability to work under minimal supervision with integrity and responsibility
  • Ability to problem solve, articulate requirements and implement change where necessary
  • Strong teamwork and people management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent in Cantonese or Mandarin is an advantage
