Markets Operations is responsible for driving every part of the trade lifecycle post execution. Its global teams manage settlement activity, risk and control, while ensuring the delivery of regulatory compliance and seamless operational client service across 60 countries.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Associate Director, Regional Head of Cash, Foreign Exchange and Money Market Operations, Asia Pacific .

Principal responsibilities

  • Overseeing an integrated regional organization structure encompassing both regional sites, Trading HUBs and GSC, Operational HUBs, locations to ensure transactions are consistently processed in accordance to FIM, Global Standards and jurisdictional regulatory requirements.
  • Drive and embed the Foreign Exchange Best Practice standards and Minimum Value Proposition across the region utilizing data metrics and management information.
  • Emphasis will be on the support and the successful transition of the latest strategic and global programmes as the Foreign Exchange business evolves to digital and electronic processing using Distributed Ledger Technologies to continuously maximize operational efficiency, controls and reduction of operating costs.
  • Defining a consistent operational risk control framework and mitigations to govern the business process controls such as Third Party Payment service offering
  • The holder will be required to influence decision makers within Asia Pacific, escalating irregularities and non standard practices to the global and regional business and Operations management.
  • Overcoming and managing challenges to incorporate agreed exceptions to the target operating model.

Requirements
  • Proven people management and leadership skills to develop the team and identified talents
  • Possess strong business management, client service and risk management skills
  • A strong communicator to influence and manage challenging business stakeholders and clients
  • Knowledge and understanding of Global Markets products, operations and international or regional markets, with exposure to regulators, exchanges, industry bodies and latest market trends and initiatives
  • Proven track record in innovating, leading and managing change, given the continually evolving nature of the organisation and business
  • The ability to work with senior management globally and act as a team player, and the acumen to manage a virtual organisation with teams across multiple geographic locations
