Description
CIB Treasury (CIBT) is a critical function within CIB Finance and Business Management. It is responsible for managing the liquidity and capital positions of the CIB, establishing transparent and market-based funds transfer pricing policy for Markets LOBs, and developing methodologies and metrics to improve the collateral and liquidity risk management capabilities of the CIB. CIBT works closely with Corporate Treasury and Liquidity Risk Oversight in developing liquidity risk metrics and coordinating analysis and reporting for regulators and rating agencies on related topics.

The CIBT APAC is responsible for evaluating all aspects of the CIB balance sheets across all APAC Legal Entities, in order to help optimize the APAC CIB businesses' strategy in the context of balance sheet, liquidity, capital, leverage and other regulatory constraints from both global and APAC Legal Entity perspectives. The team partners closely with APAC Corporate Treasury to develop efficient policies and procedures for deployment of CIB's balance sheet and monitors compliance with the Firm's targets.

CIBT APAC is looking for a high performing associate to support an array of initiatives in the liquidity space, specific responsibilities include:

  • enhance monitoring process to deliver robust management of CIB liquidity and funding in APAC Legal Entities
  • regular reviews of APAC Legal Entity's liquidity results (both internal and regulatory-mandated) and work with the business to ensure drivers of liquidity usage are well-understood and optimize liquidity position where appropriate
  • support business strategy in APAC Legal Entities by contributing to the development of pro-forma analyses in liquidity, funding and stress testing profiles
  • work closely with business, Corporate Treasury and Liquidity Risk Oversight to ensure liquidity methodology is a fair and accurate representation of potential liquidity requirements, eg. review treatment of CIB activity in Stress, LCR and NSFR frameworks
Qualifications
The candidate must be a self starter who is able to work in a fast paced, results driven environment, be confident and have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as this role will have global exposure and responsibility across varying levels of management.
  • Working knowledge of various CIB products, along with financial theory and accounting principles
  • Strong analytical skills, able to perform complex and quantitative analyses, investigative problem-solving and decision making skills
  • Highly motivated and demonstrated initiative , e stablished track record of delivery multiple deliverables simultaneously in a complex environment
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, strong attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, flexible and capable of engaging various functions, locations, and businesses
  • Ability to work under pressure, feel comfortable operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, prioritize multiple tasks, and bring tasks to complete closure
  • Organized and able to execute responsibilities with limited supervision
  • Have a keen interest in capital markets, liquidity risk management and funding
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication abilities
