A well established, HK main board listed company is now looking for a CFO to join their team. You must be a qualified accountant with strong experience managing both the statutory and commercial side of finance for the group. Please refer to the ad for detailed description of the role.

Reporting to the CEO, the CFO will be responsible for the following:

  • Managing the finance function of the business, across accounting, tax, treasury and audit
  • Maintaining the integrity of the organisation's financial condition and reported results.
  • Ensuring all statutory reporting , corporate governance and compliance requirements are met through a meticulous focus on financial controls and reporting policies
  • Devising ways for the business to improve the current operating model, in order to achieve better efficiency and financial position of the group
  • Acting as strategy advisor for the business, managing and developing strategic business planning at the board level, to drive continuous growth of the business
  • Acting as financial advisor to the board, you will play an important role advising on the group's stock optimisation strategy and investment directions
  • Conducting feasibility studies on M&A opportunities and other greenfield business ventures, as well as to manage the ongoing business operations from a finance perspective
  • Taking a lead on investment related activities, including management of bank and investor relations, fund raising and investment road shows.

Successful candidates should possess the following qualities:

  • A degree holder from a reputable university with a credible accounting qualification
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in management/CFO capacity, across both sizeable MNCs and HK listed companies
  • A strong understanding on HK listing roles and standard accounting treaties across different countries (HKGAAP, IFRS, PRCGAAP etc…), ideally you have a background working for one of the big 4s
  • Experienced with corporate governance, investor relations and general business requirements of a HK listed company
  • Experience in treasury and a presence in the investor community
  • Extensive knowledge in excise and tax across various jurisdictions
  • Experience in retail, property and investment sectors would be ideal but not a must
  • An inspirational people manager with a track record in coaching and developing your team
  • An influential business advisor to senior stakeholders
  • Fluency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese is required, both written and spoken
