Regulation, Compliance and Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) protects the integrity and reputation of Deutsche Bank. It manages the Bank's risks and help to avert unintentional rule breaches and conflicts of interest. At the same time, we also advise the bank on ethical conduct and governance issues and keep the bank up to date on regulatory and political challenges.

Position Overview

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Managing the HK regulatory relationships as key liaison with the HK regulators, including coordination and management on onsite /offsite exams, handle regulatory enquiries and coordinate timely responses
  • Maintain and manage regulatory updates such as consultations, updates on rules and guidance, report submission requirements, etc.
  • Evaluate compliance with relevant rules and regulations, issue identification, assessing the impact of regulatory change and working with the business compliance teams, infrastructure team and senior management to build and maintain control mechanisms to be in compliance with relevant laws and regulations in order to protect the reputation of the Bank
  • Providing briefings to Senior Business, Country and Infrastructure management on regulatory trends, issues and remediation.
  • Work closely with Compliance senior management and the businesses to manage potential compliance and reputational risks
  • Business advisory on compliance matter for Global Transaction Banking business.
  • Assess the businesses' process, new initiatives and new product and/or transaction approvals from a regulatory perspective. Advice and drive implementation of necessary process and procedures in response to changes to regulations and Bank's policies.
  • Perform compliance monitoring of businesses' activities and controls, document findings, breaches and weaknesses and drive execution of remediation actions, if any
  • Coordinate with and work closely with other Compliance teams regionally and globally, Legal and Business Management.
  • Maintain a strong compliance culture within the business through regular interaction with the Global Transaction Banking businesses.
  • Develop and deliver Compliance training to the Businesses
  • Be actively involved in regional and/or global initiatives and projects, as required.

Skills and qualification:
  • 5 years relevant Compliance experience within a financial institution, regulator and/or similar environment with exposure to transaction banking business and regulatory matters.
  • Knowledge of banking rules and regulations, and familiar with the banking practices and regulatory environment
  • Good product knowledge transaction banking business and products
  • Strong interpersonal and sound judgment skills to provide advice guidance to business and stakeholders
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in building good relationship with different business and infrastructure departments and at various level of seniority
  • Ability to work independently and with a strong sense of teamwork across all levels, functions and geographical locations
