Position Overview

Details of the Division and Team:

The Regional Head of Communications & Marketing APAC will be responsible for developing and executing an impactful strategy for DWS' growing business in the region. He/she will also be the functional lead for growth markets globally within the department. This newly-created role combines strategic communication advice with operational delivery across a range of internal and external channels.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with executives, business heads and members of the global Communications & Marketing team to drive effective campaigns for DWS in APAC
  • Lead our profile and help to manage DWS' reputation in alignment with the firm's key areas of growth
  • Work with a wide range of internal partners including coverage, portfolio management and investment teams globally to identify opportunities to enhance DWS' share of voice in the market
  • Maintain strong working relationships with business/financial and trade media (online, print and broadcast)
  • Manage a team of specialists based across the region


Your skills and experience:

  • 10+ years' experience in media relations and/or marketing in the financial services industry
  • Detailed understanding of the asset management industry, including issues facing institutional investors, and financial markets
  • A wealth of active, passive, alternative products and investment knowledge.
  • An upbeat team player and driven self-starter, with a positive attitude and excellent work ethic
  • Ability to multitask and operate with flexibility in a fast-paced environment to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong project management skills and ability to pay close attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships with our executives, journalists and colleagues around the world
  • Track record of working optimally with senior executives
