Data Governance Manager (Job ID: 3425)

Responsibilities

• To be a team member of the Data Science & Governance Department
• To facilitate the development and implementation of data quality standards, data protection standards and requirements
• To create a best-in-class data and analytic capability that enable identification of new products and market opportunities to drive innovation
• To assist in developing an enterprise data governance implementation roadmap to effectively handle data company-wide, aimed at achieving improved internal processes leading to effective cost efficiency and management
• To collaborate with concerned external parties, advocate collaborations with various internal functions and departments to ensure that data related business requirements are clearly defined

Requirements

• University graduate in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• Minimum 8 years’ working experience in Data Engineering, Data Governance and/or Data Management from recognized establishments in financial services and/or Fintech related industries
• Experienced in establishing and monitoring of data governance framework
• Knowledge of industry leading data quality, data modelling and data protection management practices
• Understanding of ETL, data warehouses, lakes and master data management
• In-depth knowledge on business and operation models of banking, with thorough understanding on  the local regulatory environment
• Advanced analytical skills, be able to visualize opportunities, issues from data
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese
