We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Global Operations Business Manager.

Principal responsibilities
  • Act as the relationship manager and single point of contact to the Business Service representing the Operations Chief Operations Office team
  • Drive Business Service Strategic initiatives including innovation and 2030 Strategy
  • Provide Business Service specific expertise to the Chief Operations Office Planning, Headcount, and Governance team as well as support the Head of the Business Service with specific presenting and explaining financial or service performance information
  • Run communication and human capital initiatives on a Business Service and Regional level to ensure alignment with the teams strategy
  • Responsible for execution of efficiency initiates initiated by the Operations Chief Operations Office function in respective Business Service
  • Ensure Business Service Governance is supported and executes properly
  • Understand and translate Global Operations and Group strategy into immediate business service and aligned direction for self and teams
  • Setting world class standards and embedding these in immediate business service
  • Leading from the front by courageously setting and executing stretching goals for the immediate business and function area
  • Authentically engaging a diverse group of stakeholders to deliver at pace
  • Making considered decisions that protect and enhance HSBC values, reputation and business
  • Key driver in operational design and strategy
  • Responsible for Business Service and Regional financial and headcount forecast accuracy
  • Responsible for Business Service and Regional financial, headcount, operational performance and data Management Information accuracy
  • Responsible for sustainable and best in class tool set for driving operational excellence and engagement and culture within the team
  • Support Operations Chief Operations Office team in its governance and control efforts in regards of among other things mandatory trainings, regulatory compliance and other control and effectiveness initiatives

  • Excellent relationship management and influencing skills
  • Analysis and strategy, possesses ability to analyses complex issues and identify and assess the long term, strategic implications for the Bank and its customers
  • Excellent planning, organizing and commercial skills including strong financial management capability
  • Strong leader and positive role model
  • Ability to lead, motivate and develop individuals within a team
  • Communication, possesses ability to communicate complex issues concisely
  • Ability to manage and mitigate operational risk effectively
  • Well developed project management skills
  • High degree of drive and motivation to ensure delivery of objectives in a timely, efficient and effective manner
  • Attention to detail combined with strong delivery focus and ability to meet aggressive timeframes with quality results
