In 5 years’ time our client has build up one of the largest cross-border payment networks across the globe. Currently, with the ability to support global money transfer across 800+ banks and financial institutions, they are looking to spearhead the Virtual Banking Initiative in HK.

With 600+ staff globally, our client is no doubt one of the leading contenders for HKMA's Virtual Banking (VB) License. In setting up a VB division, they are looking to add at least another 40+ headcounts to support their initiatives, one of which is the Audit Team Head.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with other team leaders to support the Virtual Banking initiative
  • Implement audit policies and procedures and update audit manual
  • Hands-on involvement in internal audit projects and track closely the remedial status of issues identified during audits
  • Set up the audit teams to ensure the timely completion of audit assignments
  • Plan regular audits/investigations to assess the soundness of operational, compliance, IT and control processes
  • Monitor the risk of the company and prepare regular reports/proposals to stakeholders/higher management staff on recommendations to increase company efficiency and to enforce more effective internal control procedures

 

Qualifications required:

  • Minimum 10 years of audit experience, ideally in both internal audit and IT audit in financial services and banking industry
  • With no less than 5 years in managerial experience
  • With hands-on and down-to-earth attitude
  • University degree or above in Accounting/ Finance or relevant disciplines with CPA, CISA / CIA, or equivalent qualifications
  • Solid knowledge in control frameworks and relevant regulations (especially HKMA banking related regulatory requirements)
  • Experience in start-up environment is an advantage
  • Excellent written and spoken abilities in English and Cantonese, with Mandarin being a plus
