Are you an experienced Front Office Java developer seeking to join a dynamic and fast paced Financial Services industry? Due to the significant growth in our Asian operations we are currently seeking a highly technical Java developer to join our Technology team. In this role you will have exposure directly with front office and work on building state of the art technologies to further enhance our business.

Job Overview:
We are looking for a Java developer having knowledge and experience with Equities markets. They will be working within their development team in Hong Kong

 

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the wider technology team and Front Office users in building and maintaining the system using Java coding
  • Provide L3 support to global users
  • Be a part of regional and global IT projects to enhance Instinet systems to a more advanced level

 

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Java on Linux platform is required
  • Experience in FIX protocol for equities markets is a plus
  • Experience in scripting language such as Perl/Python/Bash or another is a plus
  • Experience in other Equities order entry protocols is a plus
  • Experience in market data is a plus
  • Experience in Smart Order Routing is a plus
  • Demonstrated experience in software design and development of complex/large-scale enterprise applications
  • Object Oriented programming skills
  • Excellent communication skills – oral and written
  • Ambitious, self-motivated, resourceful technology enthusiast
  • Lifelong learner who loves sharing his knowledge Experience in SVN and Git (preferred)
  • Experience in TDD and CI (preferred)
  • Experience in DevOps (preferred)
  • Knowledge in SQL database (preferred)
  • Knowledge in JavaScript and RESTful API (preferred)
