What will I be doing as an Insurance Sales Specialist focusing on High net worth China-based clients?
This role focuses on actively engaging with a portfolio of existing HSBC Premier Clients to identify their personal and commercial aspirations in order to help meet these by providing specialised insurance solutions.
Principal responsibilities:

  • Build meaningful relationships with Premier Chinese clients by helping identify and capture opportunities in Hong Kong’s insurance market
  • Engage in end to end insurance services including identifying needs, recommending solutions and helping complete applications
  • Recommend tailor-made insurance solutions to meet the varied insurance and protection needs of customers
  • Manage an individual insurance portfolio and ensure the highest rate of customer satisfaction
  • Establish working relationships with other teams and partners that impact client experience to deliver a consistent approach and outstanding level of service
  • Ensure team members provide quality business referrals and proactively contribute to product knowledge and skills sharing
  • Maintain a high level of compliance to guidelines and operational procedures
  • Ensure that activities align with relevant legal and regulatory requirements plus meet HSBC standards and procedures


  • Willingness to relocate to Hong Kong
  • University degree in business, finance, marketing or another relevant discipline
  • Proven track record of serving clients, providing life insurance solutions and working in Bancassurance 
  • Extensive wealth management and insurance product knowledge with capability in sales
  • Fluency in Putonghua and a good level of reading and writing in English is compulsory
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate
  • Insurance related license would be an advantage
