We are now looking for talented regulatory and risk management professionals to join us in assisting our financial services clients on governance, regulatory and risk transformation.
 
Work you'll do:

  • We are now looking for talented Operational Riskmanagement professionals to join us in assisting our financial services clientson risk transformation. As a part of the team, you will be involved in:
  • Managing teams to deliver engagements
  • Focusing on building upon your existing experience of Financial Services industry to develop genuine insight, knowledge and experience of the regional FSI marketplace, whilst imparting this knowledge on your team and developing their capabilities in tandem
  • Helping senior staff develop our regional FSI practice, by supporting business development, practice management and thought leadership activities
  • Monitoring market developments and keeping up to date with the latest FSI developments
  • Helping in efforts to target a wide range of clients and to build client relationships
  • Running training activities to train other staff in the FSI regional marketplace
  • Coordinating regional FSI engagements and knowledge sharing across the wider Deloitte China and APAC network
  • To have a broader perspective of potential issues encountered when managing diverse teams and the strategies to overcome them; have a clear understanding of the firm’s commitment to creating a more inclusive culture

Your role as a leader:

Requirements:

  • Relevant professional qualification(s) or advanced degree in Risk Management or related subject
  • Candidates will be considered from a consulting background or who have relevant industry experience in Operational Risk
  • Solid experience with Risk and Control Assessment processes and methodologies (execution and oversight of)
  • Strong knowledge of operational processes and controls relating to life and general insurers
  • Experience with the development and implementation of risk systems, key risk indicators and related management information for reporting purposes
  • Proven experience of successfully leading, managing and delivering Operational Risk-related projects to a regional clients/stakeholder groups
  • Capability to lead / support transformation projects
  • Experience in working across complex matrix environments
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English; fluency in Cantonese and Putonghua would be an advantage. The ideal individual should also be international in their outlook as well as culturally sensitive
  • Experience working in professional services and Asia Pacific would be an advantage
