Your role will involve providing Investment team support coverage, as well as overseeing and leading the team of Hong Kong coordinators. You and the Coordinator team will play an important role in the investment platform to ensure the smooth running of day to day processes of our Investment Professionals.

About the Equity Investment Team

The Fidelity Investment team comprises of Portfolio Managers, Research Analysts, Investment Director, Trading and Investment Risk. The role of the team is to manage equity and fixed income funds and products for institutional and retail customers.

Purpose of your role

Your role will involve providing Investment team support coverage, as well as overseeing and leading the team of Hong Kong coordinators. You and the Coordinator team will play an important role in the investment platform to ensure the smooth running of day to day processes of our Investment Professionals.

The purpose of the Coordinator Team, is to provide advanced organisational and administrative support to our Equity & Fixed Income Portfolio Managers, Research Analysts, Investment Directing and Operational teams. The duties include extensive diary management, meeting organisation, complex trip and travel arrangements, printing reports, hand-over notes and general administration duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • To lead / manage the Hong Kong coordinator team, in addition to taking Investment team support coverage.
  • Manage any issues or concerns raised by the team, knowing when to escalate when necessary.
  • Provide formal and informal feedback, supporting and providing guidance to the team.
  • Allocate coverage responsibilities and resource planning for the team.
  • Ensure team is updated, briefed and equipped adequately with any new application rollouts such as MV2, Insights for infopaks,
  • Ensure team are kept up to-date on latest policies or any division or firm wide initiatives.
  • Manage and lead on selected project work when required.
  • Compile new starter schedules, printing manuals and desk coordination.
  • Supporting Manager in identifying and improving working practices, maximising team efficiency.
  • Work collaboratively with regional team leads.
  • Some flexibility on hours may be required.

Experience and Qualifications Required

  • Experience in leading a team would be preferred but not necessary.
  • Experience in financial services organisation.
  • Excellent organisation skills and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Professional, pleasant manner but assertive, confident, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative to manage daily tasks and special projects is critical.
  • Strong attention to detail and consistent follow through skills.
  • A good team player who understands the dynamics of working in a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to quickly pick up knowledge of the business and use this knowledge to make judgements on key issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, good analytical skills.
  • Must have a high proficiency level with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Fluency in English, Mandarin and/or other dialect would be advantageous
