We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as PayMe Solutions Engineer.

Principal responsibilities
  • This position is a key role in the PayMe team, responsible to support business and partnership strategy and execution.
  • As PayMe expands its footprint, there will be expanded opportunities for payments executions across the ecosystem. As the PayMe Solution Engineer, this person will be responsible for contributing to solution design, technical integration, implementation and onboarding.
  • The role holder must be able to define optimal approaches to enable mobile payment solutions to integrate technically with our partners and clients.
  • This would require the individual to have in depth understanding of payment technologies at physical point of sale, or via online and mobile channels.
  • The role holder should have a strong technical background in REST APIs, XML, JavaScript and JSON.
  • The role holder has responsibility for ensuring the proposed digital business model or product or solutions can be executed successfully & in accordance with HSBC policies.
  • The role holder should be able to clearly articulate execution approaches and options to achieve optimal outcomes.

  • ​Experience in the payments industry and or technology enabled industries
  • Hands on familiarity with at least one language such as Java or C# or Kotlin is preferred
  • Familiar with AOS, IOS, HTML5, JSON, XML
  • It would be an advantage if you are familiar with Ruby, PHP, Python, Node.js , Server infrastructure design and implementation, Azure and AWS cloud tools or components and familiar with PCI compliance standards
  • Experience with customer software integration
  • Experience to work in Agile or SCRUM model
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Good communication and presentation skill
  • Proven experience in implementing technologies for mobile payments, e commerce and point of sale solutions
  • Ability for rapid prototyping is a benefit but not a must
  • Synthesizing data sets to streamlined, clear and actionable messages
  • Proven ability to develop relationships with a wide array of partners, executives and customers
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent preferable.
