This opportunity is with a well established and fast growing tech company founded in 2009. They have more than 2 million paying customers across the world and looking to scale their organization to become a global cybersecurity leader.

About the team:

Serve as an internal service provider to engineering and product management teams, be accountable for providing them with:

  • Advice on product roadmaps, requirements, designs and test plans to enhance the quality of our products and services and aid the speedy discovery of problems.
  • Exploratory testing across all types of requirements: functional, security, privacy, capacity, performance, reliability, resilience, accessibility, internationalization, etc.
  • Regression testing in areas not sufficiently covered by automation. We create and maintain suites of manual test cases and ensure that they are aligned with automated suites.
  • Coordination of bug discovery and triage from various other sources, such as dogfood, customers, and customer-support.
  • Training in QA skills such as designing for quality and testability, creating test plans, writing test cases, etc.
  • Release certification services. We have a veto right to stop releases that don’t meet the standards of our brand.  

About the role:

This is a newly created position to become the leader of the team and deliver the results described above.

  • Create the hiring plan for your team world-wide, create your headcount budget, structure your teams and align them with your partner teams, design plans for assessing candidates, work with our recruiting-team to source and test candidates, hire and onboard new staff. We’re currently very much under-staffed. You need to grow the team significantly.
  • Lead your direct reports. You hire, train, motivate, assign responsibilities, and hold people accountable.
  • Lead your team’s delivery. Set goals, create and execute plans to achieve them.
  • Influence the design and execution of our software development processes to raise quality, speed, and efficiency.


  • be an experienced people manager, including managing people who themselves are also managers.
  • have strong English written and verbal communication skills.
  • have excellent coordination skills.
  • have relevant experience in a similar or related role on a complex or multi-platform product.
  • have a personality that’s very self-motivated, and driven to improve and follow through very consistently.
  • Deep experience in agile project management, especially Kanban.
  • Expertise in writing test-plans and test-cases.
  • A talent for quickly finding meaningful bugs, and teaching others how to do so as well.
