Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and high-performing Relationship Manager (RM) to join our client's growing SME Banking division. This role covers two critical revenue engines: SME Relationship Management (Farmer) and Loan Hunter Sales.
As an RM, you will lead portfolio strategy and active business acquisition within the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) segment. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing credit risk, and delivering comprehensive banking solutions. This position offers a competitive base compensation complemented by attractive bi-annual (half-yearly) incentive payouts tied to portfolio growth and sales milestones.
Key Responsibilities

• 1. SME Relationship Manager (Farmer)
  
  
  
  • Actively manage, deepen, and retain a high-value portfolio of existing SME corporate accounts.
  
  
  • Drive cross-selling across the full suite of commercial banking products, including trade finance, cash management/treasury solutions, commercial property financing, corporate insurance, and digital banking platforms.
  
  
  • Perform strategic portfolio analysis to identify cross-sell opportunities and maximize wallet share.
  
  
  • Oversee portfolio credit quality, conduct rigorous annual credit reviews, and proactively manage risk to minimize non-performing loans.
  
  


• 2. Loan Hunter Sales Specialist
  
  
  
  • Proactively acquire new-to-bank SME clients with a strong emphasis on driving business loan growth and asset acquisition.
  
  
  • Build and leverage external referral channels, including business associations, commercial real estate brokers, tax advisors, and corporate services partners.
  
  
  • Evaluate client financial health, structure complex financing solutions (working capital lines, trade facilities, term loans), and draft credit proposals.
  
  
  • Lead end-to-end loan application workflows from prospecting and credit analysis to approval and facility drawdown.

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, or a related field.


• Experience: Minimum 4-6 years of proven track record in SME/Commercial Banking, handling both credit risk management and active sales.


• Credit Acumen: Strong proficiency in corporate credit analysis, balance sheet evaluation, financial modeling, and risk structuring.


• Track Record: Demonstrated success in meeting/exceeding sales targets in SME lending or multi-product cross-selling.


• Skills: Strong negotiation, consultative selling, and stakeholder management skills.
