Operations, Services and Technology is a pivotal part of the Group, providing essential operational and technical support to our global businesses and helping improve customer service and efficiency. IT Operations manages the IT infrastructure and supporting services that are critical for HSBC employees and customers, such as cost-efficient hardware, system software, middleware and databases, data centres, voice and data networks, ATMs, desktops and other devices.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Regional Head of Global Cloud Services, Asia Pacific.

Principal responsibilities:

  • Support regional IT leadership across regulatory, strategic and stakeholder management concerns
    • Responsible for providing support to Regional Chief Information Officer (CIO) when necessary on matters relating to relevant regulatory and Board relationships at regional level
    • Consulted on execution of Global Businesses / Global Functions (GB/GF) strategy at regional level
    • Responsible for collaborating with peer Regional Heads, GB/GF Business, and other senior IT Personnel to implement GB/GF goals in region within entity, policy, expense, regulatory constraints, in line with Technology strategy, priorities, and budgets
  • Lead and influence to represent region with senior IT leadership across business and functional team
    • Responsible for leading and influencing the GB/GF IT Team to meet functional goals in the region, and oversee delivery of the portfolio to time, cost, and quality targets
    • Responsible for ensuring that all regional demand is captured and effectively prioritised within the GB/GF global portfolio
    • Responsible for global portfolio governance ensuring transparency over status of aligned to GB/GF global delivery into regions / countries
    • Responsible for coordinating all regional input into the annual planning cycle
    • Responsible for governing all GB/GF programme portfolio in region ensuring the status and impacts to time, cost and quality are reported into all regions and countries
  • Drive delivery of change programmes across the region
    • Responsible for delivery of GB/GF IT Transformation, Agile and DevOps adoption in region to realise savings as per targets in partnership with GB/GF Business
    • Responsible for successful delivery of key GB/GF change programmes in region
    • Responsible for ensuring deliverables are supportive and in compliance with Regional and GB/GF target state architecture
    • Accountable to both Regional CIO and GB/GF CIO for ensuring resilient, high quality services are being delivered within the region
    • Responsible for driving implementation, governing risk responsibly, promoting ethical management of risks, communicating changes in policy and governance effectively, and ensuring in country regulatory processes and procedures are adhered to
    • Responsible for providing delivery assurance for GB/GF services in region and DevOps DevOps teams
  • Coordinate and drive IT service performance within the region
    • Responsible for coordinating regional activities required to mitigate service issues
    • Responsible for service performance of end to end services delivered within the region (e.g. service SLA, MTTR, etc.)
    • Consulted on delivery status of overall service / application health for region / country CIO owned applications, and expert advice provided/facilitated from wider GB/GF as necessary
    • Consulted on status of issues relating to critical IT incidents for region / country CIO owned applications, and expert advice provided/facilitated from wider GB/GF as necessary
    • Consulted on problem management and root cause analysis related to Region / Country CIO Owned Applications where applicable, and expert advice provided/facilitated from wider GB/GF as necessary
  • Monitor, track and manage regional IT spend
    • Responsible for managing the regional allocation of the global budget to regions for all programmes
    • Responsible to the Regional CIO and GB/GF CIO for IT direct cost and charges to GB/GF Region Business
    • Responsible to the Regional GB/GF business COO for managing all IT spend in region (for GB/GF budget and regional budget)


Qualifications
Requirements
  • Srong relationship and stakeholder maangement. Able to operate at very senior levels of the Group
  • Strong Technical awareness and delivery experience
  • Proven people and project management skills in global cross cultural environment.
  • Good budget maangement skills
  • Experience in Financial Services or Technology
