QNB Group, the largest Financial Institution in the Middle East and Africa are looking to hire a Relationship Manager, NBFI, to meet the expansion needs of our office in QNB - Hong Kong // Hong Kong.

Role Summary:
The incumbent will create and manage relationships with financial Institutions and strengthening correspondent banking relationships by fostering new correspondence banking alliances within his/her assigned geographical area. They will offer tailored Lending, Trade Finance and Cash Management Product to NBFI customers.

Role Description:
  • Assist in the implementation of the strategies and plans to achieve all volume, revenue, and profit targets.
  • Support the Senior Relationship Manager, FI & CB in the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the purpose of performance monitoring and quality measurement of the Financial Institutions Unit within the assigned country.
  • Meet and exceeding target budgets for new and existing Financial Institutions relationships comprising placements, borrowings and loan syndications, etc., for the Financial Institutions Unit, in accordance with QNB's overall corporate budget and strategy.
  • Provide superior customer service through building lasting relationships with financial correspondents and Structuring and execution of FI deals.
  • Maintain and deepen relationships with the existing Financial Institutions as well as building new relationships.
  • To assist customers in all their queries on Bank's product and seek solution to their requests
  • Maintain activities in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with internal departments/ units to achieve improvements in turn-around time.
  • Build and maintain strong and effective relationship with all other related departments and units to achieve the Group's goals/objectives.
  • Provide timely and accurate information to the external and internal Auditors, Compliance, Financial Control and Risk Functions as and when required.
  • Develop and manage relationships with correspondent banks and to coordinate with other divisions in the Bank and international branches and subsidiaries when dealing with counterparty banks.
  • Coordinate between the bank and other financial institutions and resolve problems and enquires faced by QNB with Correspondents (and vice versa).
  • Provide service to local and foreign banks in order to nurture working relationships.
  • Collaborate with Treasury in reviewing relationships with counterparty banks and to influence them in enhancing their scope of business with QNB.
  • Ensuring a smooth execution of NBFI transactions in line with internal approvals and satisfactory documentation by coordinating with other stakeholders
  • Identify and timely report on all negative events and early signals on potential problematic accounts/relationships.
  • Conduct annual reviews of Financial Institutions on timely basis.
  • Compile the report on annual reviews of Financial Institutions to be presented to the Senior Relationship Manager, FI & CB and the senior management for deciding on facility renewals.
  • Assessment of transactions, identifying credit risks and making necessary recommendation;
  • Monitoring of FI portfolio (clients and facilities) and related credit limits on continues basis; and alerting HO in case of any adverse changes


Qualifications:
  • University graduate preferably with a Major in Banking, Business Administration, Finance (related field of study), Masters preferred
  • 5-7 years' experience in the banking industry, preferably with local/international bank experience.
  • Well-informed of the market competitive structure, industry practices and regulations for the Financial Institutions and correspondent banking segment.
  • Knowledge of Treasury Products is a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (including report writing) in English and preferably Arabic.
  • Excellent people relationship skills and awareness of risk management concepts and practices.
  • Understanding of the relevant laws, regulations and best practices pertaining to Financial Institution relationships.
  • Personal integrity and self-management.
  • Outstanding problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Planning, organizing and analytical ability.
  • Familiar with the balanced scorecard approach.
  • Knowledge of AML/CFT laws and regulations.
