An international financial institution is looking for a high calibre candidate to join as Senior Audit Manager. The position is based in Hong Kong.

Our client is an international financial institution that focuses on providing clients with global investment solutions that meet the demands and challenges of sophisticated and complex investment and economic circumstances.  They are currently looking for a high calibre candidate to join them in Hong Kong.  

Perform and manage audits to assess the design and operational effectiveness of internal controls relating to trading and treasury activities within the Region.  As part of a team that audit major business lines and assist the Chief Auditor, Asia Pacific in assessing controls relating to front, middle and back offices in different locations that relate to the business lines.   The incumbent will provide high quality, value-added advisory services to line management as part of audits or on special projects / assignments. The incumbent will ensure that department standards are met on all assignments. Apart from a strong knowledge of capital market and treasury products, market risk management techniques, the incumbent should be proficient at assessing applicability of AML/ATF regulations to the operations as well as be familiar with the support functions within a wholesale banking environment and applying risk-based auditing standards, practices, techniques, processes and methodologies to the performance and review of audits. Contribute to the overall success of the Audit Department ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed & delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives.  Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. Evaluate the design and operation of internal controls.  Conduct special investigations as assigned. 

To qualify, you will be a degree holder with CPA or equivalent and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience. Expert knowledge of all audit processes and methodologies. Thorough ability to write clear, concise audit reports as well as internal and external communication. Good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and audit software tools. Sound  knowledge of the Bank’s organizational structure. MAS, HKMA, APRA and other regulatory experience would be an asset. CISA and Technology background would be an asset and a benefit to this role.
