We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Manager Risk Governance and Controls .

Principal responsibilities

  • Provide risk subject matter expertise to assess, monitor and manage full range of risks associated with Retail, Wealth and Retail Business Banking globally
  • Identify emerging risks, control gaps and work with business and 2nd Line of Defense colleagues
  • Enhance existing risk controls and frameworks to ensure their fit for purpose as the RBWM businesses evolves and increasingly focuses on digital solutions and channels
  • Support the embedment of Operational Risk Management Framework across Group Retail Banking and Wealth Management
  • Enhance controls to manage conduct risks to ensure fair outcomes for customers
  • Development and maintain risk and control frameworks for Retail, Wealth and Retail Business Banking
  • Ensure the delivery and maintenance of robust product governance processes by reviewing risks throughout the product lifecycle

  • Degree graduate with demonstrated business experience in large, complex business and extensive knowledge of risk management concepts and frameworks
  • Extensive knowledge and appreciation of all aspects of Retail banking, Wealth management and Retail Business Banking products and propositions
  • Practical experience of HSBC's approach to risk management including the Operational Risk Management Framework and the Three Lines of Defence
  • Knowledge of the external environment, regulatory, political, competitors
  • Practical experience of major business transformation activities
  • Results orientated with proven track record, self directed, change leader, high energy and strong execution capabilities
  • Strong customer centric, analytical and innovation mind set
  • Strong communication skills, good team player and stakeholder management with ability to work with partners from a diverse range of backgrounds
