Senior Manager, Technical Accounting

Responsibilities:

  • Research and support for compilation of financial statements, reporting & disclosures that are in compliance with US GAAP and/or other GAAP reporting requirements as well as relevant SEC rules and regulations
  • Regularly reach out to major business units to understand their technical accounting concerns
  • Manage and advise on technical accounting issues of newly acquired companies and align with the Company's accounting policies
  • Work together with senior management from different departments
  • Provide assistance in valuation in relation to business combinations and impairment issues, stock-based compensation, financial instruments, etc
  • Manage and liaise with internal business units as well as external parties such as auditors, appraisers, legal counsels and other professional service providers
  • Maintain group accounting policies and provide training on the implementation of new policies and new accounting standards
  • Other ad hoc assignments and special projects

Requirements:
  • University degree with US CPA qualification
  • A minimum of 6-8 years of experience at a Big 4 accounting firm, preferably with experience in a technical accounting capacity with a SEC registrant
  • Excellent understanding of US GAAP/IFRS is a must; knowledge of PRC GAAP/CAS is a plus
  • Ability to perform research and resolve technical accounting issues independently and offer solutions in a feasible and practical manner
  • Working experience in Mainland China and/or in-depth understanding of Chinese business environment is preferred
  • Embrace change and an ability to adapt in a fast-changing, dynamic working environment
  • A self-starter, driven and motivated individual who can complete tasks under minimal supervision
  • Good character and interpersonal skills; strong project management skills and organisational skills
  • Occasional business travel is required
