Senior Valuations Manager, Equity - Global Finance

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as Senior Valuations Manager, Equity – Global Finance.



  • Responsible for the production through a team of controllers for 

    • All Independent Price Verification, Fair Value Adjustments and Prudent Valuation Adjustment balances

    • Methodologies and documentation;

    • Monitoring model restrictions and recommendations

    • Levelling returns

    • Large or Structured Trade Reviews

  • Engagement with Equities core Product Control to ensure that the valuation conclusions are accurately reflected in the books and that the communication with the business is seamless and consistent

  • Keep up to date with any core Product Control production issues

  • Ensure that the governance and controls of fair value is adhered to. Prepare for and contribute to the valuation committees that opine on fair value for the business areas concerned

  • Drive the methodology and implementation of FVAs, IPV and PVA changes, keep abreast of industry information, engage the business on all matters regarding Equities valuations and be the principle contact for internal and external audit

  • Ensure Valuation FIM requirements and other applicable accounting or regulatory standards are met. Liaise with Internal and External audit and regulators where necessary

  • Work to ensure consistency in policies and standards across sites/teams and implement strategies to improve consistency where it is not already in place

  • Identify, communicate and drive resolution of issues; whether people, process or system

  • Maintain focus on process optimization and identify opportunities to enhance cost efficiency where possible, e.g. automation, outsourcing, centralization etc.

  • Review results of other daily control such as off-market rates checking, collateral disputes and permitted instrument monitoring to form an opinion on our valuation


  • University graduate from a reputed institution in financial or economic subject or university graduate in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or similar.
  • Prior Valuation Control experience working with Equity products, both prime brokerage and exotic equity derivatives.

  • Excellent written English and oral communication skills.

  • Good understanding of Financial Markets, risks and changing regulatory environment such as products traded, associated risks, including the greeks, and their life cycle, accounting principles, valuation techniques, Volcker.

  • Work independently with minimum guidance and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

  • Excellent analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work with people across location and from different backgrounds.

  • Ambitious, driven and enthusiastic.

  • Advanced MS Excel, Python, or other Data Science tools.
