About the Client

Our client, a top-tier securities firm, is looking for technical BA and PMs for their commodity trading platform modernization and the adoption of cutting-edge, event-driven architectures.

The Role & Landscape

As a Technical Project Manager, you will assume end-to-end ownership over strategic technology initiatives for our premier global Commodities Options trading platform . This is a front-office-facing role requiring deep engagement with traders, quants, risk managers, and engineering teams to conceptualize, design, and implement next-generation technical solutions.

1. Architectural Collaboration: Partner directly with software engineers to design scalable distributed systems, APIs, and event-driven integration frameworks.
2. End-to-End Delivery: Translate complex quantitative and financial requirements (pricing, risk management, trade lifecycle) into clear functional and technical design specifications.
3. SST & Rollout Management: Coordinate System Integration Testing (SIT), release validation, and global production rollouts across cross-functional systems.
4. Technical Problem Solving: Perform deep-dive technical investigations, system impact analyses, and SQL-based database queries to resolve sophisticated production bottlenecks.

What We Are Looking For

1. Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related quantitative discipline.
2. Industry Tenure: 8 to 12 years of proven technology delivery/ technical business analyst experience within investment banking, capital markets, or trading environments.
3. Technical Acumen: Understanding Java and Python technology stacks (specifically Java enterprise applications and Python data processing automation).
4. Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of OTC derivatives trading systems, transaction lifecycles, and risk management workflows. Direct familiarity with Commodities Options or platforms like Calypso is a massive differentiator.
5. Linguistic Versatility: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese) to interface with regional business heads and cross-border engineering teams.
