Established in 2006, Huatai Financial Holdings (Hong Kong) Limited (“HTHK”) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Huatai Securities Co. Limited (“Huatai Securities”). Huatai Securities is one of the first groups of securities firms established in China approved by China Securities Regulatory Commission and the People’s Bank of China. Since 2010, Huatai Securities has over 6 million brokerage clients and almost CNY one trillion of custody assets. We are currently looking for a high calibre professional to join our team as a VP/AVP in Operations.

Key Responsibilties:

  • Liaising closely with Sales team to ensure accurate and timely bookings of trades
  • Ensure the integrity of the company’s trading positions through accurate trade capture, portfolio management, price reconciliations and query management
  • Experience to support Fix income product & cash equities across global markets
  • Liaising with client on required information/documents for system setup such as SSI/contact
  • Develop standard processes to route customer queries to correct department for timely resolution
  • Coordinate with front office and other support teams, locally and globally, to address trade related enquiries and issues
  • Reconcile and validate trade capture and day trading activity in timely and accurate manner
  • Send trade confirmation to client on timely basis, and resolve problem confirmation sent to clients and investigate any discrepancies
  • Experience on Alert, CTM, Omgeo for trade confirmation
  • Trade life cycle management and control – fixings, coupons, calls, triggers, expiry’s and early redemptions
  • Prepare reporting to trading/sales/management such as profit and loss report
  • Prepare weekly / monthly report regarding trade amendments/ cancel & correct for the sales desks
  • Ensure all exceptions (trade breaks / fail trade / FX exposure) are handle promptly
  • Identification and escalation of control-related issues, develop and maintain procedures/solutions to close gaps
  • Ensure accuracy of all components of new and existing transactions across internal and external systems
  • Maintain a consistent and robust control environment
  • Contribute to continuous process improvements
  • Development and testing of in-house systems and provide support for the implementation and development of a global support model
  • Maintain an up to date customers’ settlement instruction information and any other static data of the customers
  • Interacting with other internal support areas such as Finance, Treasury, Settlements, Risk, compliance and Legal
  • Interacting with the Sales & Trading Desks, answering any ad-hoc requests/trade related questions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or above
  • At least 3-5 years previous experience working in a similar environment (ie. Institution brokerage firm)
  • Knowledge of Collateral processes, Initial Margin, Variation Margin, general CSA, ISDA SWAP definitions
  • Knowledge in Accounting, able to easily identify impacts to P&L and Balance Sheet as a result of trading or bookings
  • Familiar with Clearstream/Euroclear and client onboarding and settlement process
  • Detail-orientated and dedication to quality with a strong work ethic
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Suite, specifically Excel, VBA
  • Capable of multi-tasking and work independently
  • Efficient and proactive approach to work
  • Accuracy and attention to detail paramount
