We are seeking an experienced Leveraged Finance professional to join. This role focuses on the origination, structuring, and execution of leveraged buyouts (LBOs), acquisition financing, unitranche/mezzanine structures, and syndicated debt for private equity sponsors and corporate clients.

The ideal candidate will combine strong credit/modeling capabilities with an established network across Japanese financial sponsors, corporate clients, and domestic/regional lending partners.

1. Sponsor & Corporate Coverage: Build and maintain relationships with private equity sponsors, corporates, and advisory firms active in cross-border and domestic Japanese LBOs and acquisition finance.
2. Pitching & Advisory: Lead the creation of client pitch books, term sheets, capital structure advisories, and financing proposals.

1. Transaction Structuring: Structure complex debt facilities including senior term loans, mezzanine, unitranche, and high-yield instruments tailored to Japanese regulatory and tax frameworks.
2. Financial Modeling & Due Diligence: Oversee detailed LBO modeling, debt capacity analysis, downside stress testing, and lead commercial/financial due diligence.
3. Legal Documentation: Lead negotiations on commitment papers, term sheets, facility agreements, and intercreditor agreements (LMA or local market standards).

1. Credit Risk Approval: Draft comprehensive credit papers and present transactions to internal Risk & Credit Committees.
2. Syndication & Distribution: Collaborate closely with Debt Capital Markets (DCM) and Loan Syndications to gauge market appetite, price risk, and manage sell-down strategy.

1. Experience: 6–10+ years of dedicated Leveraged Finance, Acquisition Finance, Private Credit, or Investment Banking experience covering the Asia-Pacific/Japan region.
2. Technical Skills: Advanced LBO modeling, valuation, and structured cash-flow credit analysis skills.
3. Market Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Japanese sponsor ecosystem, buyout dynamics, and loan market standards.
4. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field (CFA / MBA preferred).
