Morgan Stanley is a leading global financial services firm providing a wide range of investment banking, securities, investment management and wealth management services.

The Financial Control Group (FCG) is responsible for overseeing the accounting and financial and regulatory reporting for the Firm. FCG prepares external financial reports for public filings and regulators. For internal reporting FCG, along with Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA), summarises, plans and forecasts the organisation's financial position, including income statements, balance sheets, and analyses of future revenues, expenses and earnings. FCG is comprised of Business Unit Controllers, Infrastructure Controllers, Accounting, Regulatory and Reporting groups, and Valuation Review.

The Fixed Income Division (FID) Client & Sales Reporting team is part of the Fixed Income Controllers Group. The team’s overall role is to provide financial analysis and business performance metrics to support senior management decision making. Key stakeholders include FID Sales Regional Heads, Country Heads, Product/Strategy Heads, COO groups and Finance senior management.

The team is responsible for controlling and reporting on client and sales performance metrics, designing & developing management reports to evaluate business performance and support client and sales strategy through value-added analysis. The team also works closely with Operations/ IT/COO groups on the implementation of key business change initiatives.

We are currently looking for a

Revenue Reporting Controller

for our Budapest office

Key responsibilities:

Perform daily reconciliations of client / sales Economic Value and Volume production, liaising with IT and Operations to resolve discrepancies

Responsibility for ensuring the integrity of Sales Reporting data and for following procedures and controls such that information is relevant and timely. Coordinate with IT to resolve upstream & downstream data issues

Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports for management review

Creating and maintaining Sales Registered Representative (RR) accounts

Creating and posting of journals as required

Providing timely and accurate response to queries from the Business Unit

Ensure all risk and control policies are adhered to and any discrepancies reported to Line Manager

Contribute to process improvement and efficiency initiatives


Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Accounting or related field

Management reporting experience (preferred)

Strong MS Excel and working knowledge of Business Objects (preferred)

Self-motivated, with strong inter-personal and excellent communication skills

Technical aptitude to understand data and systems construct and flow

Quick and enthusiastic learner who can hit the ground running and contribute
