Associate Software Engineer
Lieu de travail : Bangalore, Karnataka, IndeThe Fundamental Technology team is looking for a Software Engineer to join the Moody's Investors Service Support Center in Bangalore. This individual's time will be split between technical work and management of other software engineers.
This role will oversee and have responsibility for maintaining quality of technology related deliverables for various Fundamental Technology support projects. Responsibilities include:
Development and other technical work for Fundamental Technology projects;
Management and development of a small team of developer/support resources;
Oversee staff performance; manage turnover; provide technological direction for junior support/development members
Proactively identify and drive process improvements;
Prepare and communicate reporting to the onshore delivery manager
The MIS technology teams play a key role in ensuring Moody's ability to deliver the highest quality structured, fundamental and public finance ratings. The teams work directly with the ratings analysts to provide quantitative tools, financial analytics and data driven software solutions.
The Fundamental Technology team supports a substantial portfolio of tools and platforms used on a daily basis by analysts globally. The team is located in New York, Bangalore, and Kolkata and reports to the senior management of the Moody's Operations and Data Controls group.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science with 5 + years development experience; Microsoft development platforms (e.g. .NET, C#, VBA) strongly preferred; good understanding of financial markets; 2+ years management experience preferred
Possess a positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced technology environment
Ability to understand complex business processes, determine the right problem to solve, and perform end-to-end business testing for key functionalities/enhancement.
Leadership and project management skills; ?
Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills;
Excellent Microsoft Office skills
