The Tax department's primary mission is to ensure the firm's compliance with the tax laws of those
countries (and local jurisdictions) in which the firm conducts business and to assist businesses in managing
tax risk. Key Global Tax functions include:

1. Providing tax information for the firm's financial statements;
2. Preparing/supervising the preparation of tax returns for the firm as well as any associated supporting
documentation;
3. Advising the firm's professionals on the tax implications of the firm's businesses and/or transactions
undertaken by or for the firm.

The Tax department is part of the Finance division, which is a team of specialists charged with managing the
firm's liquidity, capital and risk, and providing the overall financial control and reporting functions. Finance
is a critical area within Goldman Sachs and the division is ideal for collaborative individuals who have
strong ethics and attention to detail.

YOUR IMPACT

We're looking for a tax professional to join our tax team to use their skills and experience to work within
the Transfer Pricing team. You will work closely with senior tax professionals on the development and
implementation of transfer pricing methodologies as well as ensuring that the firm has complete and
accurate transfer pricing documentation including the creation and review of benchmarking reports,
master and local files.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
RESPONSIBILIITES:

  • Work alongside senior transfer pricing professionals on the analysis of the firm's businesses and the development and refinement of transfer pricing methodologies. Working closely with both Tax and Controllers transfer pricing teams on a global basis on the implementation of new and updated methods and ensuring that these are appropriately documented. Working with the Controllers transfer pricing team on analytics and controls.
  • Preparing and analysing benchmarking reports for various regions as well as global studies.
  • Conducting interviews and reviewing functional analysis of businesses to assist in the review of existing and new transfer pricing policies.
  • Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of transfer pricing documentation required for various jurisdictions throughout Asia.
  • Providing support to local tax teams in the event of transfer pricing queries during a tax audit.
  • Monitor local laws and guidance and communicate any risks associated with changes to the law or interpretation of the law as it relates to transfer pricing.
Basic Qualifications :
  • Graduate with Accounting, and/or Tax qualification (ACA, ACCA, CTA etc).
  • Minimum 1yr PQE or 3yrs relevant experience in a Tax Consultant role with a focus on transfer pricing.
  • Excellent IT skills, especially Excel. Familiarity with databases such as OSIRIS, ORIANA, S&P's Compustat or OneSource would be of benefit.
