Senior Associate
Compliance - Senior Associate
This role is within the Compliance team to manage the compliance advisory and risk management services within State Street Global Advisors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and support the development of the compliance risk reports and new advisory reports that provide proactive advice and guidance on regulatory change to the business
  • Create reporting to track SSGA Compliance progress against 2019 goals
  • Lead the development of new data visualization tools and ports for compliance/business use and work closely with Compliance Analytics and Tableau to create better risk report for areas like Marketing Compliance and Sales and Distribution practices
  • Innovate & find creative ways to source & leverage structured & unstructured data, and big data technologies to support reporting efforts
  • Ensure data quality throughout all stages of acquisition and processing, including such areas as data sourcing/collection, mapping, normalization, and transformation
  • Write concise technical documentation, presenting & defending results to independent Model Validation team, senior management, and regulators
  • Lead projects with the information technology professionals to document business requirements and to ensure methodologies are accurately implemented in production systems
  • Leverage different resources (including market data) to produce reports that can be used to drive other projects
  • Execute quality control standards and the timely delivery of data
  • Assist regional SSgA offices in North America, EMEA, and Asia Pacific by performing various Sales and Marketing Compliance tasks associated with the review of advertising and sales literature to ensure adherence to global investment industry regulations, as well as internal firm guidelines
  • Understand global regulations and adherence to legal requirements for financial promotions
  • Assist in any legal issues and interpretation of the laws relating to marketing and advertising
Basic Qualifications/ Skills:
  • Graduate or Post Graduate
  • Minimum of 3 to 8 years of work experience in general compliance functions and familiarity with regulatory rules and guidance relating to financial promotions would be an advantage
  • Experience in creating and implementing risk reports and Tableau
  • Experience in Asset Management Legal & Compliance functions is preferable
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter, ability to work both independently and collaboratively

  • Flexible to work in different shifts
