Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack to join our high-performing technology team. This is a deeply technical, hands-on role suited for someone who thrives on solving complex engineering problems, takes ownership of software architecture and coding decisions, and contributes meaningfully across the product lifecycle-from design and integration to testing and CI/CD.

As a Staff Engineer, you will serve as a senior individual contributor, expected to independently architect and develop sophisticated software systems while guiding technical choices, mentoring peers, and championing engineering excellence.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Engineering

• Design, develop, and implement scalable full-stack applications using Python, ReactJS, FastAPI, Flask, Django, TypeScript, REST APIs, PostgreSQL/MySQL, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Translate functional and nonfunctional business requirements into secure, high-performance software solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code while adhering to engineering best practices and coding standards.
• Contribute to improvements in application performance, scalability, and maintainability across the technology stack.

Software Design and Architecture

• Design and develop scalable software components, APIs, and backend services.
• Create technical design documentation and collaborate with engineering teams on architecture decisions.
• Enhance existing applications by modernizing legacy systems and implementing scalable architectural patterns.
• Participate in technical design reviews and recommend improvements to performance and reliability.

Application Integration and API Development

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using FastAPI, Flask, and Django.
• Integrate applications with internal and third-party services while maintaining security and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and optimize API performance, authentication, and data consistency across distributed systems.

Backend Engineering

• Develop scalable backend services using Python and modern web frameworks.
• Build microservices and asynchronous processing solutions where applicable.
• Optimize database queries, caching strategies, and backend performance.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization using JSON Web Tokens (JWT), OAuth 2.0, and role-based access controls.

Frontend Engineering

• Develop responsive, modern web applications using ReactJS, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Build reusable user interface components and integrate frontend applications with backend APIs.
• Optimize user experience, accessibility, and application performance.

Cloud and DevOps

• Deploy and maintain applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Build and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Develop containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor application health, scalability, and production performance.

Testing and Quality Engineering

• Develop and execute unit, integration, and API test cases.
• Improve software quality through automated testing and continuous integration.
• Perform root-cause analysis and efficiently resolve application defects.
• Maintain high code coverage and software reliability.

Performance Optimization

• Analyze application performance and identify bottlenecks across frontend, backend, and database layers.
• Implement caching, query optimization, and asynchronous processing techniques.
• Continuously improve system scalability, availability, and reliability.

Project Contribution and Collaboration

• Participate in sprint planning, technical discussions, estimations, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with product, quality assurance, DevOps, user interface/user experience, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality software.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across development teams.

Required Competencies:

Technical Strength

• Strong hands-on experience with Python application development.
• Hands-on experience with ReactJS, FastAPI, Flask, and Django is required.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.
• Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis.

What You Bring

• Five (5) or more years of hands-on software engineering experience in full-stack development.
• Strong expertise in Python application development.
• Hands-on experience with ReactJS, FastAPI, Flask, and Django is required.
• Experience designing and building scalable REST APIs and web applications.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, cloud platforms, and container technologies.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and modern development methodologies.
• Experience working in Agile teams and collaborating across cross-functional teams.
• Ability to mentor developers and contribute to technical design discussions.
