Description

We are seeking a Lead Associate - Communications Systems to act as the dedicated technology specialist supporting Davies' global Corporate Communications function. This role will sit within Enterprise IT and serve as the bridge between IT and communications, ensuring our platforms, tools and digital channels are embedded to enable effective colleague engagement, content delivery and business-wide communications. Working closely with the Corporate Communications team, you will own the technical architecture, optimization and continuous improvement of the communications technology stack, including intranet platforms, SharePoint sites, Thrive Spaces, email communications tools, Poppulo, Meltwater and other related systems. You will help translate communications requirements into scalable technical solutions, deliver strategic platform initiatives and ensure colleagues have a seamless experience across our communications channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the technical architecture of Davies' communications technology ecosystem
• Ensure communications platforms are integrated, optimised and aligned to business needs
• Partner with Corporate Communications to shape platform roadmaps and future development
• Act as the technical lead and escalation point for communications technologies and related services
• Lead the delivery of Corporate Communications technology projects and transformation initiatives

Intranet support & migration

• Technical lead for migration of Intranet
• Develop migration roadmap and implementation plans
• Oversee testing, quality assurance and successful transition activities
• Provide technical leadership for the ongoing development, governance and optimization of intranet and employee engagement platforms
• Ensure platform structures, governance and content frameworks support business and communications requirements
• Monitor system performance, adoption and engagement metrics.
• Identify and implement enhancements to improve user experience and business value.

Audience & distribution management

• Develop scalable audience and segmentation frameworks
• Manage distribution lists, Active Directory integrations and communications targeting capabilities
• Support automation of audience selection and distribution processes.
• Ensure effective integration of employee and HR data to improve communications targeting

Platform maintenance & support

• Maintain platform governance, security, permissions and operational processes
• Manage relationships with communications technology vendors and partners Act as the technical owner for communications platforms and services
• Lead troubleshooting, issue resolution and continuous improvement activities Support platform upgrades, enhancements and roadmap delivery
• Ensure communications technology investments deliver value and support business objectives

Communications Systems Support

• Provide technical ownership and support for email and messaging platforms. Support Outlook, Poppulo, Teams and shared mailbox environments used by Corporate Communications.
• Resolve delivery, configuration and messaging platform issues.
• Support global communications campaigns and corporate announcements. Troubleshoot issues relating to Mimecast and email delivery services

Analytics & Reporting

• Develop and maintain communications reporting and analytics frameworks Deliver insights on platform performance, audience engagement and channel effectiveness
• Build automated dashboards and reporting solutions
• Support data-driven decision making and continuous optimisation of communications technologies

Stakeholder Partnership

• Build strong partnerships across Enterprise IT, Corporate Communications, HR and business functions
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Act as a trusted advisor on communications technology opportunities, risks and best practice.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Mandatory:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience administering enterprise collaboration, communications or digital workplace platforms
• Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 technologies, including Teams,SharePoint Online, Outlook and Active Directory
• Experience delivering platform implementations, migrations or transformationprogrammes
• Knowledge of user permissions, governance, taxonomy and content management frameworks
• Strong troubleshooting, stakeholder management and project delivery skills. Experience creating dashboards and reporting solutions using business intelligence tools
