The Opportunity
A well-capitalised, technology-driven trading firm — active across global prediction markets — is looking for a rare combination: a football expert who thinks like a quant, and a quant who understands football at its deepest level.
This is not a pure research role, nor a pure trading role. It sits precisely at the intersection of both — where market intuition, quantitative rigour, and product ownership converge. You will trade live football markets, own the models behind your decisions, and help shape the infrastructure that drives performance.
The firm operates with a systematic, data-driven edge across prediction markets. This role offers genuine ownership, intellectual depth, and direct exposure to a high-performance trading environment.
The Role
You will trade football — pregame and in-play — using proprietary models, real-time data, and automated tooling, while simultaneously taking ownership of the quantitative frameworks underpinning those decisions. Responsibilities span trading execution, model development, post-trade analysis, and cross-functional collaboration with quant researchers and engineers.
This is a role for someone who is as comfortable refining a pricing model as they are making a fast, high-stakes trading decision.
What You Will Do
- Trade football markets with a focus on maximising expectancy and identifying pricing inefficiencies
- Own and continuously improve trading strategies, execution logic, and market-making models
- Develop and maintain data pipelines, quantitative models, and trading infrastructure
- Conduct rigorous post-trade analysis to calibrate models and sharpen decision-making
- Identify structural edges in prediction market dynamics — liquidity patterns, reaction times, mispricing
- Collaborate with quant and engineering teams to deploy model enhancements and new data features
What We Are Looking For
- A degree or higher in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Economics or a related quantitative discipline
- Deep, genuine expertise in football — tactical, statistical, and market-structural
- Direct experience trading football markets, ideally on exchanges or prediction markets
- Strong Python skills: Pandas, NumPy, statistical analysis, and automation
- Experience integrating models into live production trading workflows is a strong advantage
- Sharp quantitative reasoning and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Comfort operating across both research and execution — bridging insight with action
- A product ownership mindset: defining priorities, building features, and improving workflows end-to-end
- Flexibility to align working hours with global football schedules
Compensation & Process
Compensation is highly competitive and structured to reward performance meaningfully. The firm offers a collaborative, intellectually rigorous environment where individuals with genuine edge are given the autonomy to express it.
