Department Overview

Based in the Dublin Service Centre, the Issuer Services Department is part of the wider Custody and Issuer Services Group. The Department contains a diverse section of units which support our Issuer Services Clients, Product and Sales partners. The services we provide include Depository servicing, Issuing and Paying agency services and Specialised Agency functions such as Account Bank, Project Finance, Structured Finance and Escrow Agent functions.

Typical Corporate Trust clients of Citi include major international and national-level corporations, financial institutions (FIs), banks, and public sector/sovereign Debt issuers, as well as investment banks, asset managers, and stand-alone collateral managers. 

Team/Position Overview

A challenging role within a fast growing operations environment where the candidate will have the opportunity to expand his/her knowledge of the different products offered within the Securities Business. The role will require the candidate to assume responsibility for day to day processing of the Principal Paying Agency Claims and Tax team, Registrar team and the Domestic Markets team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Entry level role to cover the following processes:
          - Domestic Mar kets
          - PPA Claims
          - Registrar
          - Tax Enquiry

  • Demonstrate ability to manage internal and external client relationships, to ensure Department responsibilities and objectives are met.

  • Assist with any clerical tasks/activities within area depending on staffing levels and volumes.

  • Prepare daily checklist ensuring all tasks assigned have been completed on a timely manner

  • Act as first point of contact within the team - liaise with other teams and clients to resolve issues

  • Work with the Team Leader to manage relationships with external stakeholders in the Domestic Markets, ensuring that all processes and requirements are met and are up to date with market practice.

  • Ensuring all non-vanilla requirements are rolled out effectively across Agency and Trust and reflected in our core system ATIS, including liaison with Issuers and Front Office to ensure full understanding of their bespoke requirements.

  • Ensure all daily, monthly and yearly tax reporting requirements are completed while working closely with Corporate Tax. Be the point of contact for the clearing houses to ensure we maintain a strong working relationship with Euroclear and Clearstream regarding our 1042 monthly reconciliation. Be a point of contact for any tax queries within the department.

  • Complete weekly MIS reporting

  • Complete UAT for system enhancements

  • Promote innovation within the team by looking at ways to streamline and improve current processes by technical enhancement or strategic positioning of functions within the group.

  • Agency and Trust /Corporate Trust Operations advantageous
