Our client is a growing Irish business who are restructuring the Finance team and have a new requirement for an Assistant Accountant to join their Finance team.

The Role: Assistant Accountant

This role is a general role within a busy Finance function of a growing organisation. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, some of the duties involve:

• All areas of managing creditors
• Debtor management
• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts with analysis of results and commentary
• Preparation of key metrics and automating reporting process
• Statutory Returns - VAT, etc.
• Manage balance sheet
• Manage bank accounts
• Management of overheads and cost control
• Assist with preparation and filing of statutory accounts and other statutory returns
• Ad-hoc projects

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have the following skills or experience:

• Relevant experience in a broad role in a Finance team
• Highly analytical
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Strong IT skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and strong communicator
• Self-motivating and able to work on own initiative
