Customer Support Engineer

Financial technology firm is seeking a junior customer support engineer for their APAC clients


  • Provide first level support via telephone and email for clients across the APAC region, including banks, securities companies and multinational corporations.
  • Work with customers, vendors and partner organisations to identify the root cause of issues and resolve to set SLA's.
  • Visit customer sites to work on implementation of the system, and liaise with project managers, customers and users.
  • Identify areas for improvement, and actively promote the companies solutions to every customer you meet.
  • Take part in product reviews, and carry out demonstrations to prospective clients, and presenting the technical abilities of the product.

Required skills
  • An educational background in computer science or engineering, with an understanding of software development principles.
  • 3+ years of experience in a hands-on technology role, preferably in a financial institution.
  • A wide range of knowledge in various technology, including scripting, networking, operating systems and platforms and vendor packages.

Preferred skills
  • Knowledge of capital markets and banking systems is desired.
  • Experience working with centralised infrastructure such as stock markets, market data or clearing houses.
  • Knowledge of PERL, Java, XML and JIRA.

Personal Attributes
  • Outgoing and able to build solid business relationships quickly and effectively.
