Your team

 

As part of the Credit unit you will be responsible for managing, implementing and monitoring loans to clients for the Bank in Luxembourg and its branches in Europe.  

Your task will therefore be to ensure that applications for loans meet the requirements of both the Bank’s own internal guidelines and regulatory provisions. 

You will report locally to the Credit Risk Assessment Manager in Luxembourg.
 

Your role

 

Origination and approvals

 

• Acting as the local representative of Pictet’s Credit Risk Assessment team to identify non-standard credit requests vs standard ones and evaluating lending solutions as soon as they materialise.
• Working closely with Relationship Managers front office Credit Specialist and management to provide expertise and guidance on the Bank’s credit policies. Preparing credit requests for the PEUSA Credit Committee and submitting them.
• Preparing and presenting credit requests and reporting credit issues to the Group Credit Committee.
• Communicating credit decisions and ensuring that adequate credit documentation is obtained, including any conditions fixed by the Group Credit Committee before any disbursement is made.
• Playing an active part in developments in the process for granting loans, identifying possible ways of improving the process and helping to implement them.
• Providing assistance, expertise and support to the Credit Risk Control & Reporting team to ensure that credit facilities are accurately set up and monitored.

Cross-departmental support and services

 

• Educating and training staff on Pictet’s credit risk assessment, credit policies, procedures and directives.
• Providing assistance with all site-related credit matters and to external service providers in coordination with your area senior management (legal, compliance, audit, etc.).

 

Your profile

 

As the Credit Risk Assessment Officer, you must be conscientious, proactive, transparent and be able to work under time constraints and pressure.

 

You will also be required to work independently with minimal supervision to accomplish assignments entrusted to you. Furthermore, you will need to cooperate closely with your colleagues in the Credit Risk Assessment teams. You should also demonstrate a strong capacity to initiate and share new ideas with the aim of improving credit activity and have good organisational skills to enable you to determine the priorities in your work.
