Overview of the Role



The Business Analyst will support the day-to-day running of Nuveen Asset Management Europe S.à r.l. in Luxembourg and the coordination of international projects that are led by the Authorised Manager responsible for Operations and Business Management.



This is a key hire and requires the person in the role to engage with directors, key business stakeholders and international colleagues. The successful candidate will implement and oversee processes, play a key role in oversight and provide broader business support. Nuveen Asset Management Europe S.à r.l. is a strategically important entity for the business with branches in Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Italy and the Netherlands and its expected growth will provide further growth opportunities. The entity is a MiFID investment firm authorized to distribute funds, perform discretionary portfolio management and provide investment advice.




Key responsibilities include :



Support the Day-to-Day Running of Nuveen Asset Management Europe S.à r.l.



  • Monitor the activities performed by the branches across Europe from an operational perspective

  • Perform the oversight of distribution activities and related MiFID obligations

  • Ensure all MiFID reportable transactions and mandates are identified and reported to the regulator on a quarterly basis

  • Assist with the monitoring and review of financial reporting ( monthly/quarterly/annual)

  • Ensure internal, regulatory and statutory reporting are filed in timely manner

  • Review and record invoices, as required



Support the coordination of international ad hoc strategy, operations or regulatory-driven projects lead by the Authorised Manager responsible for Operations and Business Management



  • Contribute to the planning and management of projects by defining goals, setting timelines and resolving roadblocks

  • Help team leaders and colleagues manage day-to-day operations of high-priority programs

  • Prepare director-level presentations and periodic reports/dashboards for the benefit of the members of the Board of the company

  • Perform gap analyses and impact assessments

  • Assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and efficiency




Technical Skills & Experience Required



  • At least 3 year experience in the investment fund industry (e.g. with an investment management company, fund administrator, transfer agent, custodian, depositary, etc.) or with strategic or financial consultants, or with an audit firm is required

  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong communication, reporting and presentation skills

  • Fluent in English (oral and written) - another European language is an advantage
