Description

As this role is essential to the organization and will be reporting directly to the CEO, it is vital you come with a track record of delivery and proven experience. Among the many responsibilities some are listed below:

  • Oversee the day to day financial and accounting operations with particular focus on the company's reporting requirements, budgetary control, compliance and process improvement
  • Manage the implementation and oversight of the strategic plan by working closely with the CEO & business partners to execute the operating, growth and new products strategy
  • Take charge of financial planning & analysis and budgeting
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with statutory listing requirements: BNM Reporting, Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Laws/Regulations
  • Responsible for overseeing the cashflow considering current cash liquidity, projected loan volume and potential capitalisation needs
  • Take charge in supporting the ALCO (Asset & Liability Committee) through design and implementation of timely and accurate reporting and oversee the ALM (Asset & Liability Management) function to ensure good decision making
  • Responsible for system and reporting improvements besides driving efficiency in the finance department
  • Working closely with bankers, auditors, directors, government regulatory bodies, company secretary and tax agents on behalf of the company

Profile

The ideal CFO will be confident in leading a business financially and be responsible for the growth of the company and must possess the requirements below:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Professional Degree and preferably a member of any professional accounting body (ACCA/CIMA/CPA)
  • At least 10-15 years of relevant working experience
  • Able to juggle multiple projects, hands on and willing to stretch "up" and "down" in responsibilities
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, collaborative, and relationship-building skills; ability to interact positively with teammates at all levels of the company, and foster a strong functional team.
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong analytical, communication and influencing skills
  • A resilient personality and able to drive engagement with stakeholders
  • Ability to adapt and persevere in stressful situations
  • Open to Malaysians only
