The Role Responsibilities

Process Requirement

  • Familiarity with Clearvision, UBIX, Rolfe and Nolan or equivalent BO system
  • Understanding of Front Office Equity risk platforms ( e.g Fidessa / Sophis ) preferable
  • TLM and /or Reconciliation workflow - Trade, Position and Cash ( Total Equity )
  • Knowledge of industry standard approach to margining
  • Exchange Traded Derivatives Fees and Commissions
  • Exchange Traded Derivatives Life-cycle management (Assign/Expiry of Options, Corporate Actions, physical delivery, cash settlement).
  • Understanding of stock settlement / DVP processes and relevant systems ( e.g. Crest, Clearstream )
  • Understanding of the market specifics on key ETD exchanges: LCH , ICE, CME, SGX, HKEx, Eurex, Euronext, etc.
  • Trade and Position Management - position offsetting, Gross vs Net position reporting, etc & understanding risk around closing long / short positions on all stock option positions
  • Understanding front to back flow on single stock futures
  • Efficiency and Delivery
  • Sound technical knowledge of Exchange Traded Equity Derivatives in order to support the department or business initiatives.
  • Take Accountability for the day to day BAU activities
  • Ensures operational integrity across products and processes within area of responsibility.
  • Manage end-to-end Exchange Traded Equity Derivatives processing and reporting for ETD Equity Ops FM products.
  • Ensure control measures introduced to increase processing efficiency and accuracy is adhered to.
  • Review and update DOIs for process and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Leading innovative and change agenda across the team.
  • Sound technical knowledge of Exchange Traded Equity Derivatives in order to support the department or business initiatives.
  • Escalate any exceptions in terms of operational and settlement risks.
  • Report Key Risks on BAU processes.
  • Ensure audit and control issues are adhered to and provide resolutions to improve the control measurements.
  • Actively engage and oversee UAT for change projects
  • Contribute in strategic target operating model discussions
  • Ensuring timely and accurate MIS reporting to Business and Management
  • Report any suspicious trades in accordance to the Anti-Money Laundering Policy.

Service Quality
  • Resolves day-to-day problems in processing or escalates issues as appropriate.
  • Subject matter expert on Equity Futures and Options products and process in area of responsibility and a contact point on day-to-day issues.
  • Proactive engaging approach with internal and external stakeholder (Recon Team, Derivatives Settlements) to solve issues, and escalates unresolved issues as appropriate.

Compliance and Risk
  • Strong focus on control and protecting the firm and clients interests
  • Ensures due care and diligence is exercised on day to day operational matters relating to Money Laundering acquiring relevant knowledge and training; thus providing support to superiors and subordinates.
  • Ensure full compliance of all laid down rules, regulations, policies, guidelines, procedures, practices and code of conduct imposed by the Company/Group.

People Management
  • High integrity / team orientated approach
  • May be required to coach and provide technical guidance to individual on front to back Equity Futures & Options flow

Reporting Relationships
  • Responsible for the day-to-day processing and if required coaching of others, will act under the direction and guidance of a manager.


Our Ideal Candidate
  • Degree, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience
  • Product knowledge on Derivatives, Fixed Income, FX, Money Market
  • Experience of working within treasury function in trade verification or matching or settlements.
  • Knowledge of current prudential and regulatory market initiatives is desired. Familiarity with trade booking practices, SWIFT payment and confirmation gateways.
  • Experience of dealing with Clients, Trading or Sales
