Project Manager - Big Data / Data Analytics

o Define, manage and deliver large scale Big Data and Analytics projects. Facilitate the application of Project Management Office (PMO) tools and practices for projects; Act as a Project Leader: collaborate with the Technical Lead and team, facilitate team meetings as required, compile meeting notes and action items, ensure follow up with all stakeholders and update project documents and systems
o Consult with internal customers to develop and approve project definition documents, including, scope, schedule, work plan, resource requirements, approach, requirements, budget forecasts, schedules, risk registers, and benefits realization estimates
o Identify, manage and control changes to scope, plan and budget, update all project documentation accordingly in compliance with PMO quality standards and timelines
o Report project status and participate in project review meetings
o Act as the project advocate and primary point of contact for risk and issue management and escalation
o Establish collaborative relationships with customers and demonstrate a clear understanding of both internal and external customer requirements and measurement criteria
o Minimum 5 - 8 years of IT transformation project management experience, including a minimum of five years of experience in Big Data and Analytics Projects.
o Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience
o Strong project management skills with experience in organizing, prioritizing, planning, and executing projects from definition through implementation, involving internal personnel and consultants
o Ability to independently manage three to four high complex project work streams concurrently
o Comprehensive knowledge of full lifecycle project management, software development, and infrastructure deployment methodologies and industry best practices
o Ability to positively influence, mentor and be a credible source of knowledge to less experienced team members
o Working experience in the Telecommunication Industry is a major plus.
