Transaction Management Subject Matter Expert, Senior Associate

Team Description
Transaction Management role is centric for Asset managers, traders, brokers custodians and other parties. Transaction Management Specialist is an expert in Transaction Management (middle office) space and pillar of the team. Transaction Management Specialist, SME provides team with guidance on complex trade related matters, consults and analyzes issues with escalation contacts, owns escalations, client management, contributes to process improvements and drives non- BAU projects and initiatives.
Working hours range between 9 am and 7 pm (shifts).

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Monitoring verification of trades against counterparty instructions and SWIFT dispatch in timely manner
  • Ensuring that all trades are confirmed within predetermined timeframes and that all relevant deadlines are adhered to the processing and instructing of transactions for each product
  • Monitoring SWIFT messaging system flow to custodians, clients and fund accountants
  • Close cooperation with brokers, custodians, fund accountants, various internal stakeholders and other third parties
  • Direct interaction with client Middle and Front Office teams to resolve trade discrepancies or issues
  • Adherence to global guidelines on trade processing - SMPG, ICTIC, Omgeo and SWIFT Best Practices
  • Supporting third party claims management and liability recommendations for Senior Management
  • Driving process improvement
  • Participating in new business on-boarding process
  • Supporting Team Leader with team management and work distribution
  • Leading resolution of most complex queries by cooperating with internal teams and external parties worldwide
  • Properly assuming risk exposure and taking appropriate steps with escalation and resolution
  • Supporting junior team members with challenging tasks

Job Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of financial markets; familiarity with custodian cut offs for various financial products and settlement methodologies
  • Industry utility experience preferred - Omgeo CTM, ALERT, GTSS, SWIFT
  • Understand global markets tendencies and enforced regulations i.e. T2S, MIFIID 2
  • Understand settlement methodologies across various products (Fixed Income, Equity, FX etc.)
  • Excellent understanding of settlement associated risks
  • Academic background, preferred degree in economics, finance, science or engineering
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial products and markets requirements
  • Fluent English - strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced PC skills including MS Office applications (MS Excel mostly)
  • Multitasking skills, strong analytical and prioritization skills, experience in deadline driven environment
  • Ability to form effective working relationships with multiple parties - clients, business experts, IT and project teams
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, cooperative and resistant to stressful working environment
  • Direct experience processing Equity, Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange and cash deposit transactions or similar relevant background in Investment Services Industry - strongly preferred
