Corporate Finance - Financial Information Reporting Solutions - Project Manager / Scrum Master
Global Financial Information Reporting Solutions(FIRS) was established to define and deliver target end state operating modeland technology requirements to strategically source data required for bothinternal and external reporting, and assist in positioning the firm to betterrespond to changing regulatory environments and internal demand requests. As part of Corporate Finance, the FIRS team is focused on providingenvironmental readiness (fit-for-use), data quality and enrichment, andenhanced reporting and analysis across critical corporate internal reportingplatforms.

The Change Management team within FIRS is taskedwith improving consistency, sustainability, and stabilization of projectmanagement and change management across FIRS. Responsibilities of the teaminclude execution of process assessments, analysis of functional activitiesthat align with the FIRS remit and the build of an end-to-end projectmanagement and change management governance framework. The team partners withsenior stakeholders across Finance and Risk to drive the Change ManagementGovernance Book of Work and collaborates with internal clients to endurequality delivery of solutions.

Role Description:

The PM/ Scrum Master role within FIRS ChangeManagement team will be responsible for executing on programs to align strategyand implement governance across FIRS Book of Work initiatives. The Associatewill partner with their team lead and key stakeholders across multiplelocations: 1) execute on agile project management framework; 2) organize andconduct Scrum meetings; 3) support ad-hoc project activities as needed. TheAssociate will manage input and deliverables required from senior stakeholdersfor the FIRS Book of Work.

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with internal FIRS teams, as well as Finance, Risk, Technology to execute governance of agile project management framework, i.e. organizing and defining Sprints and Sprint goals, allocating time and overseeing timetable of meetings and updating participants, capturing agreed action items and modifications in meeting minutes
  • Provide on time and accurate reporting (e.g. Sprint Planning, Sprint Closing, Velocity, Ad-hoc Estimates of capacity and its adjustments)
  • Analyse the sprint progress and likelihood of achieving the Sprint Goal, provide the on-going updates to all project team members and notify all the stakeholders of any shifting priority up front to allow informed decision-making
  • Support product owner and Technology teams to define their Sprint goals and prioritize their backlog in line with agreed release plan
  • Serve as a 'coach' leader and resource for Scrum team for execution of best practices in Agile Project Management and manage key program cross-dependencies leveraging a standard project life cycle (PLC) methodology
  • Analyze current state software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes toidentify opportunities to enhance processes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required from an accredited university/ institution; advanced degree and/ or certifications (e.g. PMP, Six Sigma/ Lean Certification, Scrum Master Certification) a plus
  • 3-6 years of progressing experience leading projects, engineering process improvements, conducting process mapping or evaluating operating models spanning business lines within the financial services industry
  • Prior experience in a role of Scrum Master preferred
  • Very strong organizational skills
  • Qualitative and quantitative analytical skills with ability to synthesize large data sets and identify targeted, crisp messages
  • Superior verbal and written business communication skills (especially the development of management presentations)
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives with tight timelines while keeping key senior stakeholders and technology and operations partners appropriately updated
  • Ability to effectively manage relationships across global, diverse Finance, Risk, Technology and Operations senior managers and relevant subject matter experts (SME) populations
  • Highly developed influence and negotiation skills
  • High proficiency of Microsoft Office Product Suite, including Excel, Access, PowerPoint
  • Candidate should be flexible with shift timings
