The Company

My client is a Global FMCG MNC and a key player in its industry, currently looking to hire a strong FP&A professional to oversee a Global portfolio, working closely with the marketing and commercial team.

The position will focus 60-70% on FP&A and 30-40% on business partnering/brand finance.

Requirements

• Degree qualified, more than 8 years of professional experience in overseeing Regional or Global FP&A
• Business partnering exposure required: proven ability to partner and influence senior stakeholders
• Relevant industry exposure from FMCG or related business (Exposure to marketing, brand investment, or consumer products business would be advantageous)
• Must have experience in transformation initiatives, e.g. around process automation & improvement, system/ AI related projects, migration work to overseas or external vendors
• Traits: Hands-on (able to manage manual processes and drive further automation), highly driven, curious, sharp, motivated, resourceful, strong logical thinking, good communication and presentation skills

The Role

The position will oversee planning and performance management across an international portfolio, while partnering senior business and functional leaders. Beyond core FP&A, the role will have significant involvement in commercial decision support, marketing investment, analytics and finance process improvement.

Financial Planning & Performance Management

• Drive timely management reporting, providing visibility over financial performance, key indicators, risks and opportunities.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and planning activities, coordinating inputs across markets and finance stakeholders.
• Consolidate and critically review financial submissions, challenging assumptions and business outlook where appropriate.
• Partner senior leadership on strategic and financial planning, providing analysis to support key business decisions.
• Lead regular business performance reviews and translate financial results into meaningful insights and actions.
• Oversee marketing and brand-related expenditure, ensuring investment remains aligned with business plans and priorities.

Commercial & Marketing Business Partnering

• Work closely with senior commercial stakeholders and brand teams on business priorities, growth initiatives and strategic plans.
• Provide financial perspectives on brand performance, new initiatives and investment decisions.
• Assess profitability and underlying business drivers, identifying opportunities to improve performance and support sustainable growth.
• Strengthen the use of financial and commercial analytics to guide investment decisions.
  

Process Improvement & Finance Transformation

• Identify opportunities to streamline forecasting, budgeting and reporting activities.
• Partner finance teams across markets and functions on broader planning and process improvement initiatives.
• Work with financial control teams to clarify responsibilities and improve collaboration.
