APBC Trading Desks Business Unit Manager (C13)
Responsi bilities:
  • Drive control related processes / activities for the Desks including conducting ARA (Annual Risk Assessment) and periodic MCA (Manager Control Assessment and testing) 
  • Review, prepare and update / renew, enhance (where relevant) for the Desks' operating and supervisory procedures, registers and process documentations 
· Define issues / activities which may have having critical impact on Desk control processes and design / develop / implement viable changes / solutions for the Desks
  • Monitor desk activities, including but not limited to various control reports and implement enhancements (where required) to ensure that the Desk adheres to all internal and external policies, laws and regulations
  • Lead communication / coordination with regional stakeholders e.g. Governance/Control functions and Support teams etc. on any relevant approvals required for desk related processes for e.g. Operating procedures, Permitted products list, Model validation, New markets/business/product development/offering, Inter entity and External agreements / documentation, Issue resolution and management
  • Ensure audit readiness of the Desk and be the Desks' central representative / point of contact / reviewer for submissions relevant to Compliance assurance reviews, Audits, Regulatory inspections etc.
  • Manage rapidly evolving changes/ requirements arising from global Citi policies, US Volcker / DMA Consent order and local regulatory requirements across the region and (where relevant) drive implementation for the Desks
  • Plan and implement technology development / enhancements, benchmarking against Markets and Private Bank, where applicable
· Other non-trading activities including but not limited to collating, reporting to Management or Committees/Forums the Desk financials, working with finance for expense reviews and effecting MIS / arms-length transfer pricing
  • VP level & minimum 5+ years of capital markets experience (in areas such as Desk Business Unit Manager /Risk/Operations/Product/Compliance/Controls)
·         Strong strategic and analytical skills
·         Good understanding of trading desk activities, systems, processes and product knowledge in capital markets
·         Strong stakeholder management sills (e.g. communication, influencing and negotiation skills) - demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
·         Strong interpersonal skills, situational awareness and emotional intelligence
  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
