AVP, Ecommerce, Global Treasury

Ecommerce in the context of Global Markets facilitates expansion of the bank's footprint in the constantly evolving and growing electronic treasury products space.
This is achieved through increased efficiency in product distribution and risk management as well as operational risk reduction.

The Ecommerce team's responsibilities are divided broadly into 3 aspects:
  1. Projects
  2. Exploratory
  3. BAU

Projects:
The Ecommerce team is constantly on the lookout for opportunities to grow the business and improving efficiencies.
The team manages the full life cycle of Ecommerce initiatives, which include ideation, business case formulation, project initiation, project execution and delivery and operational process implementation.
The aim is to deliver innovative solutions with architect efficient technology footprints and operational processes.

BAU:
The Ecommerce team manages OCBC GT's electronic product offerings to both internal and external clients across multiple asset classes.
A member of the team will be required to provide professional advice, training and consultation for users of Ecommerce systems.
Infrequently, the team will be required to effectively manage crises that arise due technical or operational issues within the Ecommerce ecosystem.
This involves effective prioritization of system recovery efforts, identifying interim operational work-a-rounds, client relationship management and service recovery.
The aim is to maintain smooth operation of all Ecommerce systems to achieve a consistently high level of client user experience.

Exploratory:
Vast amounts of data are accumulated as part of the day to day running Ecommerce systems and businesses.
Valuable insight can be gained if the data can be properly understood and transformed into actionable intelligence.
The Ecommerce team continuously explores novel ways data can be used and processed to improve product offerings, client experience and risk management.
Constant experimentation in code development, data analytics and idea generation is encouraged.
