Application Support Specialist (Regulatory Reporting)

The support specialist will be a techno functional support team member and must have strong supporting experience in (a) MAS610 Regulatory Reporting and (b) FRS 109 Expected Credit Loss.

He/She is responsible for ensuring system availability and timely delivery of regulatory reports to the business units for their submission to the regulator. Support specialist, as the admin cum analyst expert within the IT team, will be in charge of co-ordinating and working with the various teams such as Tech Infra, Application Services, Solutioning, Project and Business units in the Bank. He/She follows up to resolve issues reported by users and performs impact analysis on related projects/enhancements which are related to supporting applications.

  • Responsible to provide BAU support for the applications listed above
  • Provide validation, integration and implementation on multiple applications
  • Responsible to provide operational support and ensure SLI of system availability, online and batch deliverables
  • Responsible for administration and troubleshooting IT systems
  • Fine tune applications and systems for high performance and higher volume throughput
  • Contribute to business requirement review for technical implementation as a subject matter expert
  • Translate user requirements into functional and technical solutions for technical design team and developers
  • Conduct review of technical and functional solutions from enhancement/project team to ensure they conform to IT standards
  • Respond on time to the queries raised by various business units
  • Provide timely updates regarding production status and progress of issue resolution
  • Perform impact analysis on enhancements/projects that will impact supported systems
  • Identify and manage risks and ensure that they are effectively managed

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience with the capacity of application support specialist role
  • Experience in supporting multiple applications such as (a) MAS610 Regulatory Reporting (RegPro) (b) FRS 109 Expected Credit Loss (FRS109 ECL) c) General risk management knowledge and skills
  • Technically competent in supporting application running on Unix & Windows platforms with extensive knowledge in Oracle, MS SQL, MS SQL Reporting Service, IIS, Weblogic, Control-M
  • Possess strong analytical & troubleshooting skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
