To assist the Head of Risk Management in ensuring that significant emerging credit, ALM, market and operational risks are identified at an early stage and advising management on appropriate risk mitigation. The role will build risk and control awareness by helping the HODs embed robust risk management across all areas of the branch.
Job Responsibilities
Duties include but not limited to:
- Assist in the setting up of the Risk Management Department in accordance to the guidelines as provided by MAS
- Identify actual and potential risk together with the Heads of the respective department/s;
- Measure risk both qualitatively and quantitatively to facilitate risk identification and management;
- Monitor risk regularly and ad-hoc basis in a timely fashion;
- Preparing of both regular and ad-hoc Risk Management Report in a timely fashion for the Management to make prompt and informed decision;
- Prepare and update the Risk Management Policy and Procedure;
- Liaise with the relevant authorities and external parties with regards to the Risk Management issues of the Branch.
- Training and mentoring staff members on effective Risk Management
Requirements
- Accredited degree from a reputable university
- Experience in risk management (operational risk and credit risk)
- 5 years’ experience working in a bank in Singapore
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate issues to manager
