Associate/AVP - Financial Institutions Credit Analyst

Ø Perform professional and efficient credit risk assessment of financial institutions (banks, non-bank financial institutions, and regulated funds) in the Asian region, with a primary focus on SE Asia and India.
Ø Make sound recommendations on credit lines and documentation requirements through a process of annual/semi-annual portfolio reviews and annual/ad hoc counterparty analyses.
Ø Close monitoring of the counterparties and the industry sectors under his/her responsibilities and providing timely reports and alerts to his/her direct reporting manager on any material counterparty development or critical market events or major legal/regulatory changes.
Ø Conduct industry research for the team as well as obtaining up-to-date information on the counterparties, legal and regulatory environment.
Ø Ensure the accuracy and consistency of internal ratings which are supported by detailed rating rationales in response to changing circumstances.
Ø Contribute to credit approvals and the negotiation of documentation through providing credit views on the counterparties and key documentation terms.
Ø Maintain a close and professional dialogue with lines of business and relevant functions (including Relationship Managers, Legal and Compliance).
Ø Involve in internal audit, regulatory inspection, and Local Risk Management Committee requests with respect to financial institutions /sovereigns related matters.
Permanent Control Aspects
Ø Direct contribution to BNPP operational permanent control framework.
Ø Contribute to the implementation of operational permanent control policies and procedures in day-to-day business activities, such as Control Plan
Ø Comply with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines
Ø Contribute to the reporting of all incidents according to the Incident Management System
Competencies (Technical / Behavioral)
Ø With 3 to 5 years' experience in a similar position
Ø Strong analytical skills with good accounting knowledge
Ø Proficiency in both written as well as spoken English
Ø Confident and presentable with good communication skills
Ø Mature personality
Ø With strong interest and commitment to develop a career path in the expertise of risk management
Specific Qualifications Required
Ø Experience in analyzing capital markets products including FX, Swaps, Repo, CDS, Equity derivatives and structured products
Ø Good knowledge of legal documentation including ISDA/ CSA credit terms, Repo/securities lending agreements
Ø Understanding of basic market risk parameters
