Green Court Capital Management (GCCM) is a private, employee-controlled investment manager with offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Singapore.  The company focuses on return-seeking opportunities within China’s public markets wherein the team’s pedigree traces back to 2004.  Using a fundamentally-driven, bottom-up investment process, the company currently manages both absolute return and outperformance China equity funds/mandates with approximately US$7.8 billion in client assets under management (as of 31 March 2020). GCCM has approximately 40 employees across our three offices and we are looking for an individual with roughly three years of work experience to join the non-investment side of our business in Investment Operations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Uploading and processing all transactions on the Portfolio Management system;
  • Instructing cash payments accurately and ensuring they are released to custodians to strict deadlines intra- day;
  • Follow up and resolution of exceptions on trade matching, (confirmation, margin, instruction process and; settlement issues);
  • Follow up and resolution of exceptions on FX trades (confirmation and instruction process);
  • Processing and monitoring of Corporate Actions (including SWAP resets). Monitoring for discrepancies and resolving issues;
  • Daily securities & cash reconciliations between OMS/PMS and custodians, investigation and resolution of any breaks; 
  • Monitor, provide reporting and follow up on proxy voting;
  • Monitoring, follow up and resolution of exceptions on daily pricing, including suspended stocks;
  • Monitoring and follow up of cash / funding / stock lending positions, including margin calls;
  • Provide daily cash / position reporting to Fund Managers / Traders;
  • Provide daily NAV / regular reports / information on P&L performance estimates, exposure booking;
  • Provide data for month end reporting for factsheets / pitch books;
  • Process subs/reds and additional funding on various accounts;
  • Reconciliation of portfolio, monitoring and resolution of discrepancies with fund administrators;
  • Maintaining expense budgets and liaising with fund administrator on expense accruals and payments;
  • Creation and maintenance of securities static / corporate actions, SSI on Portfolio Management System, Beauchamp Fund Manager;
  • Ad hoc participation / support of process redesign, system upgrades / on boarding projects; 

Applicants should have the following qualifications:

  • At least 3 years working experience with a fund administrator or similar. Experience working with teams across multiple geographic locations a plus;  
  • Experience with Beauchamp Fund Manager, Bloomberg AIM is extremely useful;
  • Experience with equities and equity linked derivatives instruments in Greater China Equity Markets a definite plus;
  • High attention to detail, team player, and ability to work in fast paced environment;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English required with Mandarin business level proficiency preferred but not required (GCCM is very diverse, with a large percentage of multilingual team members that communicate in Mandarin);
  • Diploma or Degree in related discipline (Banking/Finance preferred but not necessary);
