Following significant investment from KKR to expand the business in new and existing geographies – Pepper is now looking for a Business Development Director- Asia.  The role will focus on building an Asset Servicing pipeline in addition to identifying opportunities within the Data Analytics and Capital Management space, working with internal stakeholders to develop compelling proposals that build enduring relationships with our customers across China, India and South East Asia as we grow by way of organic and inorganic expansion. 

 

The ideal candidate profile will include the following: 

  • Strong client relationships with Financial Institutions, Bank, Non-Banks and FinTech’s at a decision-making level, and a commercial approach to sourcing servicing opportunities of both performing and non performing lending portfolios, combined with a practical appreciation of how best identify and meet clients’ needs
  • Confidence and prior success presenting to C-Suite level audiences 
  • Ability to build a portfolio of clients to be developed, with client on-boarding and maintenance of relationship
  • An innate understanding of key servicing markets in Asia, as well as a track record and particular focus on developing and managing customer relationships across the region
  • A thought leader and trusted advisor to clients with regards to opportunity, risk, commerciality and new technology implementation and utilisation
  • A successful track record of sales execution/deal-closing in a direct and third-party reseller environment, as well as ability to meet and exceed numbers, drive growth and transact volumes
  • Recent knowledge of and a passion for data analytics as decision making tools and other advancements in Financial Services technologies 
  • Achieve operational excellence including proven judgement to balance risk and opportunity

The role will be based in Pepper’s Global Headquarters in Singapore.

International business travel will be required.
